The Pseudotropheus Saulosi Cichlid is native to Lake Malawi in Africa and is often found along the Taiwan reef at depths of 7-15 meters. This species forms large schools that forage for food among the rocky areas of the reef, feeding on algae growing on the rocks. These schools consist entirely of yellow fish, although not all are females as some males can also exhibit female colors. Adult males have a striking blue coloration with black bars, while sub-adults and females are yellow. Despite being considered a dwarf mbuna cichlid and reaching a maximum size of 10cm, these fish still require a tank of at least 200 liters for swimming space and to maintain them in groups. It is recommended to keep the Saulosi Cichlid in groups of 5 or more to minimize aggression from males.
