The Mickey Mouse Platy, a hybrid color variation of Xiphophorus maculatus platy, is also referred to as the Moonfish or the Southern Platyfish. The black mark that extends into the tail and resembles the silhouette of Mickey Mouse gave rise to the nickname "Mickey Mouse Platy."
