Danios are by far one of the best beginner fish species, they come in a wide range of colours, patterns, stay very small, and are cold-water tolerant. With so many different varieties in the danio family like gold, zebra, leopard, pearl, spotted and longfin varieties it can be difficult to pick a favorite.
