The female Venustus Cichlid typically has a pattern of darker, melancholic blotches on her yellow body, while the male has a blue face with yellow markings across his head and dorsal fin. This fish needs plenty of room to swim in a 125-gallon aquarium since it grows to be 9.8 inches (25 cm) long.
