We appreciate your order, & appreciate you checking out our out of stock policy.

This is a quick overview of how our out of stock policy works. For any items out of stock in your order you will be refunded once we have packed & dispatched your order, due to the complexities of contacting every single customer who may have a fish or item in their order out of stock as well as limited time & pressuring deadlines to get everyone's order out by Wednesday of each week. We will dispatch your order as normal & you will receive a refund of the out of stock item(s) in your order by the close of business day on the same day you receive a tracking number.

Unfortunately due to the nature of shipping livestock, there's a lot that goes into it & out of stock items are well out of our control. We deal with many suppliers around Australia stock availability can change super quick & when we do our orders from our suppliers somethings may sell out prior to us sourcing it, we want to make it clear that livestock availability is subject to change without notice & the customer is aware of this before ordering from us.

What Days Do You Ship?

We dispatch on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week. This ensures your fish aren’t held at a shipping site on the weekend, and promotes the best possible health and wellbeing during transit.

Where Do You Ship?

We ship anywhere in Australia, with some disclaimers.

Customers in WA: All orders in Western Australia will be billed by the government for Package Inspection. The rate is $65 per 15 minutes' inspection, with duration determined by size of order.

Customers in TAS, NT: Please get in touch with us at admin@beyondthereef.com.au for more information on import permits, quarantine inspections and fees.

What Does Shipping Cost?

Beyond The Reef provides a livestock shipping rate (including aquatic plants) of $25 to your doorstep in most postcodes of Australia.

In some regional parts of Australia, you may be charged a higher fee of $45 or $65 depending on your postcode. This will be calculated at the checkout.

How Are The Fish Packaged?

We take the utmost care in packaging our livestock orders. They are double-bagged and injected with pure grade oxygen, ensuring they can last at least 48 hours in transit.

What If I'm Not Home To Collect My Order?

By default, we ship all orders under “Authority To Leave” (ATL) terms. This grants the courier the permission to leave your parcel at your front door, even if nobody is home to sign.

Where Is My Tracking Number?

Once your order has been shipped and packed, you will receive an email with a tracking link. If your tracking link appears blank, it means the courier has not yet collected the freight. If you don’t see a tracking confirmation email in your inbox, please check your spam/junk folder.

We recognise that accidents happen. In your order arrives Dead On Arrival (D.O.A), please email us within 24 hours with the following:

Tracking number showing successful delivery
Photos/video of D.O.A fish in original packaging (sealed)
