These are delightful energetic nano that can be prolific given the right care and are from a small region in northern Venezuela. The males are small and flamboyant with all the colour while the ladies are larger and silvery grey, similar to a female guppy.

The popular name of Poecilia wingei comes from Dr. John Endler, who rediscovered the species in Venezuela and introduced it to the pet trade.

Endlers are not picky about their decor, however, they will benefit from a heavily planted aquarium with a soft sandy substrate on the bottom, I regularly see them sifting though the sand looking for tasty leftovers and the plants will help the water quality whilst giving the fry somewhere to hide. 

• Adult sizes - Males get up to 2.5 cm & all the colour
• Adult sizes - Females 4.5 cm & Silver in color
• Hard water with a high PH of 6.5 to 8.5
• Temperature 24-29°C
